Wholly Sufficient
Every Friday I will post a new Bible study for you to think about during the weekend. They will be simple studies which mostly consist of my own thoughts on a few select verses.
Principles of Study
Be as literal as possible.
Keep things in context.
Keep it simple.

But Words Can Never Hurt Me (Ecclesiastes 7:21–22)
Also, do not take seriously all words which are spoken, so that you will not hear your servant cursing you. For you also have realized that you likewise have many times cursed others.
For someone like me, who always takes things so seriously, and who may take offense, without even thinking, at the slightest joke or passing comment, these verses give a proper picture of a Godly response to the words of others. This verse means that we ought to have patience and generosity towards the words of

The Matter of Living (James 4)
What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. However, Christianity is not just about doing the right thing, or about being nice and kind to those around you. Christianity is a personal, deep, relationship, with another

Greater Love (John 15:12-14)
This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.
I always thought this was something of a weird passage. I mean, it seems to make perfect sense, but I have never really had that much of a problem with the concept of dying in the service of another friend. To me, the idea of dying just isn’t that bad. Of course, I say that now, when I have
